Values of Haliburton properties have increased year over year, according to the latest RE/MAX 2019 Recreational Property Report. Cottagers hailing from Muskoka are looking to Haliburton as a quieter alternative to the busy recreational market, with the added benefit of lower-priced properties boasting the same amenities. The median price for waterfront properties is up 29 per cent year-over-year, at $550,000. Water access properties are priced at $435,000, while non-waterfront properties are $256,250.
